Deputies on Wednesday charged Kristie Martin Bishop, 35, with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
Bishop is accused of stabbing a man in the stomach during an argument about 6:48 a.m. Wednesday at Southern Suites, 1993 Reidville Road.
When they arrived at the hotel, officers saw Bishop and the man in a stairwell, and the victim was bleeding from a wound to his abdomen.
The victim was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for surgery.
Patricia Hudson, 41, of 264A Wood St. on Wednesday was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
A woman told authorities she was preparing to take Hudson to a court hearing at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday when Hudson got upset and struck the woman in the head with a sea shell.
The victim said Hudson then grabbed a small knife and approached her, but she was able to get the knife away from Hudson. However, the victim said, Hudson began to hit her in the face and head. The victim left and drove herself to Spartanburg Regional for treatment.
Michael Joseph Stanton III, 53, of 167 Becknell Drive, Roebuck, on Tuesday night was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and cruelty to a child.
Stanton is accused of cutting a woman on the arm during an argument and assaulting a 6-year-old child. Witnesses said the child threw a hair brush at Stanton to get him to stop hitting the victim, and then Stanton gave the child a severe spanking.
The victim was treated on the scene by EMS.
Police are looking for a 17- to 20-year-old suspect in an armed robbery that occurred near Wofford and Forest streets about 5 a.m. Wednesday.
A man told authorities he was walking when about six men approached him. The victim said one of the men, about 6 feet, 150 pounds, put a semi-automatic pistol in his face and told him to "Up it."
The victim said he didn't have any money, and the suspect hit him in the face with the pistol, knocking him down. The victim said he felt people kicking and punching him while he was on the ground. The men took $4.
